Breastfeeding Classes

Due to COVID-19, breastfeeding classes have been temporarily cancelled and will resume when the social distancing restrictions have been lifted for Douglas County.

Two hour breastfeeding classes are offered once a month from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at Breastfeeding Support & Supplies of Omaha, located near 168th & Q Street. This class is for parents before delivery to help them get breastfeeding off to a good start. Parents will not only learn the basics about breastfeeding, but also interventions to prevent common breastfeeding issues. Classes are taught by Diane Erdmann RN BSN IBCLC who has been working with breastfeeding families for over 40 years.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Latch baby on correctly
  • Know baby is getting enough
  • Choose the right breastpump to meet your needs
  • Prepare for returning to work
  • Fee: $30.00

Upcoming Classes

Breastfeeding classes are typically held the 3rd Thursday of the month but may vary depending on the month. Class times are 6:30 to 8:30 pm.
